At Black River Lodge all meals are
provided. Every morning there is a large breakfast buffet and in the
evening a full course meal. Our lodge is spacious and fully accommodated and we can
comfortably sleep up to 16 hunters. Just look at the pictures below and
you will see what we mean. Here at Black River Lodge you'll find great hunting,
fishing, and southern
hospitality.
If you choose to duck hunt during your stay, you will need to bring chest waders, and
your own hunting accessories
such as gun and ammunition. Hunting licenses are best purchased
calling 1-800-364-GAME which connects you directly to the Arkansas Game and Fish
Commission license division. You
may call in advance of your scheduled trip or call from our lodge phone
once you arrive. For duck hunting, you will need to bring a signed Federal Duck
Stamp and have it in your possession at all times.
Arkansas license, Arkansas duck stamp, and "HIP" (Harvest Information
Program) registration may be purchased by phone using a credit card or at a local
Wal Mart store. If you want to hunt on your own in the wildlife management
area, there may be a special permit required. The game and fish
commission will advise you on all license and permit information. Due to our lodge rules and state regulations, there
is no guide assistance on public land or wildlife management areas. There
are no fees or compensation in any form collected by our lodge or anyone
associated with our lodge for guiding. We do not guide hunters. If
you choose to deer hunt, archery is the only method allowed for taking
deer. Archery equipment is not provided. Fishing equipment at the
lodge is available, but we suggest that you bring your own for your
convenience. Many guests spend time just relaxing and enjoying being away
from the "hustle and bustle." For
more information on license and license fees go to: http://www.agfc.com/licenses/hunting_licenses.html#Migratory
